I enjoyed co-presenting with Chris Smith from @StewartsPI on Friday on the topic of "What lawyers want" to an audience of expert witnesses organised by @McdermottKCLaw. Engaging questions on expert mediators, single joint experts and the sanctity of the joint discussions.

@ED_LeveyKC EK KC's essay keeps getting more informative and relevant the longer I spend at the Bar. RIP.

25 years at the bar and I finally got to quote my favourite dictum of Denning LJ from Packer v Packer [1953] which, as an undergraduate, I always used to cite to support my more 'creative' arguments.

8 years ago today, I was the closest survivor of the Manchester Arena bombing. I didn’t know if I’d make it — but I did. In 2017, my mates attended the Europa League final against Ajax not knowing if I would survive. They carried my spirit with them. Today, 8 years on, we’re together in Bilbao for another European final. I’m here, I’m standing, I’m smiling — and I’m living proof that love, resilience, and unity can overcome the darkest of days. This isn’t just about football. It’s about fighting back. It’s about friendship, survival, and never giving up. Let’s do this for Manchester. Let’s do this for every survivor. Let’s do this for those we lost. #MUFC 🔴⚪️⚫️

Eight years ago today, twenty-two innocent lives were tragically lost in the Manchester Arena attack. The families of those who lost loved ones, and all those whose lives were changed immeasurably following the devastation on 22nd May 2017 are in our thoughts. #ThisCityRemembers

The police have now released images of the four blokes who mugged us for Wes's watch just by the Dakota Hotel heading back from Canal Street, Manchester in early Nov. It's resulted in likely permanent scarring of Wes's face and head injuries he's still recovering from (headaches, swelling). These are just the 4 we remember that night - they match the description I tweeted on that day. Wow. It’s 2024 and I’ve just had to crawl along the floor of this LOT Polish airline to get to the toilet during a flight back from Warsaw as “we don’t have onboard wheelchairs. It’s airline policy”. If you’re disabled and you can’t walk this is just discriminatory.
