We've been investigating the "Failed to launch game" error message & have been tracking via EA Forums. We're working on a fix & testing it over the weekend to resolve this asap, currently targeting a patch early next week. We'll update you as we can. forums.ea.com/idea/the-sims-…

If you used the method James Turner provided on his website to disable packs, I would like you to upvote this bug report. Was it intentionally that you can't use the EA App anymore? Who knows. BUT we now HAVE to go though the Marketplace. Imagine that lol forums.ea.com/idea/the-sims-…

If the game is running you will need to keep the new created folders and only copy the content of the old folders ( Tray, saves, Mods) into the new ones! This is important! Keep the new do not delete them and replace them!

The game will generate a new one when we're ready to start the game cancel the EA Background Service in the Task Manager ( handels Game updates, App updates, cloud service etc.) Now start the game and I hope and cross my fingers it does cause I don't know what else you can do.

Hi my loves! A few of you might have seen my post yesterday how you may get the game running. However this should NOT be your permanent method of playing the game. Giving the game admin rights is giving it control over your system and you should be cautious with that.

@sleeppydeer @nanamilksims It handles automatic updates, app updates and cloud synchronization. It’s always active even when the app is closed.
