@Fightincowboy @executionerlx17 Arc 6 is the fan favorite arc but there's a lot of good stuff later and it's not filler. 7-8 at most could be considered somewhat of a side quest but: 1) In and of itself it is great. 2) There are still important overarching plot progressions. I'd call them similar to season 3

#ReZeroS4 #rezero Finished re zero season 4 ep 10 I love this so much adaption wise and there is so much psychological horror it's insane, the book of the dead was also phenomenal. Next ep could very well be the best yet, this is so exciting

@Screen_Takes Arc 3 is a million times weaker in the anime than in the novels. Upon first watch I found it to be no more than an 8/10. It's only in hindsight that I could truly appreciate what they were doing. Had there been fewer cuts it would have been far better

@MeAnIntellectu6 I agree that it's thematically relevant, but crucial? It was removed and everyone watching perfectly understood the point that Subaru wasn't special. If it was a load-bearing scene, why is Arc 3's messaging crystal even without it?

My most controversial Re:Zero opinion is that, within the context of Season 1, cutting this was a great choice for preserving the core emotional and thematic beat that’s supposed to be hit in the very next scene. This reveal completely distracts from the ceremony and its fallout.

Re:Zero OVAs are very important for the experience. Memory Snow before Ep 12 makes you love the cast more and helps prevent people from dropping the series during Subaru’s crashout. Frozen Bond before Season 2 makes you appreciate Emilia and doubles your enjoyment of Season 2.

For anime onlies This Re:Zero episode was INDEED supposed to be a named episode, as it adapts Meili's named chapter, eventhogh the anime sadly abonded it for the bigger title. Regardless, I'll always love her backstory so much. Meili is such an underrated character imo. #rezero
