This is good news @SenCapito, I hope WV 911 Centers are considered in these projects. With a nationwide push for Next Generation 911 it’s imperative that our citizens have the best connectivity and technology available in times of emergency.

Walt Smittle, Emergency Management and 911 Director for Jackson County passed away last week. Walt dedicated his entire life to public service and was a true icon in the emergency management community. His presence will be sorely missed by those who had the honor of knowing him.

My retirement is fast approaching(8/2022). I’m humbled by the calls, texts & emails from all over WV of people thanking me for guidance and help. God has blessed me and given me favor I don’t deserve. My only hope is that through these 31 years I have shown Christ to all. 🙏🏻

As we mourn our beloved Sheriff today, we are thankful for these Deputies from Boone, Kanawha, Logan and Raleigh counties who have came to protect and serve our citizens while our county law enforcement honor our fallen Sheriff.
