Okay so this stood out to me a ton during my third watch and it makes TOTAL sense because the entire movie is setting up Stratt to be Grace’s “person to be brave for”, in order to make her ultimate betrayal all the more surprising and tragic. Its GENUIS story setup

grace and rocky talking about rocky’s mate/lover, then it cuts to a flashback sequence of grace talking to stratt at the viewing deck & stratt singing a part of the song right at grace? yeah a producer of PHM was definitely a strattland shipper bc the subtext was right there lol
