Pushing an update to Glitch Kitchen soon and wanted to get some feedback from the community. I'm strongly considering removing a few features: • Usernames & profiles • The social feed • The Experimental tab (token charts) These have consistently been some of the least-used parts of the app, and I think they're adding unnecessary complexity and bloat to something that should feel fast, focused, and creative. The original vision for V2 was much more social. I imagined users creating accounts, attaching wallets, building profiles, sharing creations to a global feed, remixing each other's FX presets, and eventually rewarding power users with token allocations or airdrops if we ever decided to go down that path. On paper, I still think that's a cool vision. In reality, people just aren't using Glitch Kitchen that way. Most users don't want to make an account. They don't seem interested in posting to a social feed. And the Experimental charts feature, which lets you chart any token on OKX and edit it, hasn't found much of an audience either. The data is telling me something pretty simple: People come to Glitch Kitchen to edit images, GIFs, and videos. That's what they care about. So instead of continuing to invest time maintaining features that almost nobody uses, I'm thinking about stripping the app back to its core and putting 100% of my focus into making the creative tools as good as they can possibly be. The social features can always come back later if the product naturally grows into needing them. Right now, they feel like distractions from the thing people actually show up for. Curious what you all think. Would you rather see Glitch Kitchen become the absolute best creative editing tool it can be, or do you think these community features are worth keeping around for the future?
