🇺🇸 AOC: “I’m glad that Eric Swalwell is leaving. I’m glad that Tony Gonzalez is leaving. Frankly, I think Cory Mills should be on that list as well.” The Capitol Hill exit list just got a little more public.

🇺🇸🇷🇺🇮🇷 The Iran war is quietly pushing Asia back into the arms of Russia and Iran. Before the war, 80% of oil through the Strait of Hormuz was headed to Asia. That supply is now disrupted, and U.S. allies are doing what they have to do. 🇰🇷 South Korea sent a special envoy to Tehran and its economic advisory council is now recommending imports of Russian and Iranian crude. 🇯🇵 Japan's prime minister called Iran's president directly, pressing for freedom of navigation in Hormuz while quietly leaving the door open for renewed energy ties. 🇵🇭 The Philippines declared a national energy emergency and received its first Russian crude shipment in five years, while asking Washington to extend its sanctions waiver for more. 🇮🇳 India had been moving away from Russian oil to keep Washington happy. The war ended that plan. Iranian crude just docked at Indian ports for the first time in seven years. 🇮🇩 Indonesia flew to Moscow and secured oil and gas imports from Russia while simultaneously announcing a new defense partnership with the U.S. None of these countries are breaking with Washington, but they're all making the same calculation: energy comes first.
