MMS hosted a High-Level Dialogue and Stakeholder Engagement Workshop under the SOFF-funded UNEP Investment Phase, alongside the Inception Workshop of the GCF-funded TRACT Project, on 30 March 2026. The workshop brought together stakeholders and partners to strengthen collaboration on systematic observations, climate services, and multi-hazard early warning systems in the Maldives.

Weather outlook for March over the Maldives: Northern atolls are expected to receive normal to below-normal rainfall. Central and southern atolls are likely to see below-normal rainfall. Air quality across the Maldives has deteriorated, with particularly poor conditions observed in the northern and central regions. These conditions are expected to persist over the next five days. Seafarers and those spending extended time outdoors are advised to take necessary precautions and follow the guidelines provided by @HPA_MV
