I’ve led growth & community for 13 yrs. Here is the thesis I’m staking my reputation, time, and money on for the next 2 yrs. As a response to abundance of content, apps, tech: - AI tools will become widely adopted (duh) - people retreat into private communities to get away from noise - livestreaming has a big resurgence (it’s the only content that can’t be easily faked) - community becomes a focus for creators & brands (as a moat). processes become automated, cm’s spend time on strategy & relationships - content quality > quantity (bullish on quantity for a short period of data collection) - boundaries become crucial to combat dopamine overload online - creators drawn to longform content (YouTube, podcasts, & writing) to calm their nervous system after over-reliance on SFV & trendy / news hype cycles. they are overwhelmed and want to stop racing - consumers look for content with a vibration that soothes their dopamine overwhelm (cozy creators, comfort creators, slower pace) If you know where to look, you may already see some of these shifts happening. What did I get wrong? What are you betting on?
