Blue Line train 414 stopped at approximately 9:25am outside of King Street with an apparent brake issue. 26 passengers and one MTPD officer were returned to King Street at approximately 10:20am. #WMATA is now investigating and attempting to remove the disabled train.

At 6:45pm, @dcfireems was dispatched to Anacostia #WMATA station to respond to a shooting, reported onboard Green Line train 521. Trains are skipping the station, bus shuttles are/will be available outside the station.

While #WMATA Green Line controllers were dealing with the derailed work unit outside of Greenbelt, a track inspection crew and DC Fire & EMS were on scene @ Shaw-Howard to inspect for an arcing insulator.

#FairfaxBravest are on scene of a train fire in the 9300 Blk of Lee Street area of the Burke. Crews arrived with fire showing from the cargo section of an unoccupied train. Crews are working on extinguishing the fire. No civilian or firefighter injuries reported.
