Trumps seeming reversals on the Trans Pacific Partnership, tariffs generally and a putative strike on Syria coupled with and the looming US reporting season which expects strong earnings growth of 15-18%, sets the scene for a much more positive future market performance..

My reading of US Central Bank minutes strongly suggests interest rates may lift by at least 0.5% before years out and we are more likely than not to see a rise later this year.

My take on Reserve Bank statement;- US interest rates will rise soon; our rates on hold this year; and consequently the $A will weaken.

The Australian economy showed more resilience than some commentators expected. Moreover I believe the data signals much better times ahead.

Reserve Bank "jawbones"about lending for houses, but its generally upbeat about the economy -so rates look to be on hold for some time yet.

The ASX 200 index up 3.2% in March- only a breath away from 6000- so long as the world doesn't fall in a hole- market looks good for 2017.
