@scottsantens We don’t have a resource problem. We have a distribution problem.

There is no such thing as international law, only loose customs that countries choose to follow, IF those customs are aligned with their self-interest.

@sunrise9720 @EdKrassen Inflation isn’t even the main concern here. Western Australia and many parts of Asia already running out of oil/gas. The PR crisis alone already looks bad for the US, not to mention the coming humanitarian crisis. And we are not even talking about the actual war yet.

Last week, people were hoping the war would end. Now, I don’t even expect that anymore. I’m only wondering how passage through the Strait of Hormuz can be secured. At the very least, it would be good if the global oil supply chain is restored and energy prices stabilize. Is there any country in the world that can withstand this level of inflation right now?

BREAKING: This is escalating fast. These latest updates spell doom. • Saudi Arabia urging U.S. to ramp up attacks — may join the war • Iran just turned back 2 Chinese state-owned container ships in the Strait of Hormuz — despite China being on the “approved” list • Tehran now says ONLY ships carrying household goods, cars, clothing, or pharmaceuticals for Iran can pass • Only ~33% of Iran’s missiles destroyed after 1 month • Iran still has a “significant” arsenal + recoverable stock • Drone capability largely intact • Iran’s Supreme Leader has refused negotiations Trump screwed us.

My conclusion is that there is NO point in voting in any federal election. Everything just gets worse and worse, little by little, and then by a lot. Take care of your family, friends, and immediate community, everything else is noise.

And now Trump has lost the independents, and they are not coming back any time soon. So, the good news is that the Republicans will lose the mid-term. They deserve the L. The bad news is that the Democrats will win and they will further drive the country into the ground.

It’s again time to ask the question that’s been asked since the disastrous wars in Iraq and Afghanistan: “What does victory look like?” What does victory look like and can we achieve it? It looks like this admin has no idea, and when u don’t know where u are going, you are lost.

President Trump has told associates in recent days that he wants to avoid a protracted war in Iran and that he hopes to bring the conflict to an end in the coming weeks: WSJ

@Cataphract That might be the case, but I’m not sure if that’s worth all of his domestic policies being reversed and he, his family, his supporters, and people who work for him being prosecuted or persecuted, which I think we can all agree is coming. Strange decision-making really.

It’s strange to see Trump throw his legacy away like this. Plenty to dislike about him and his domestic policies, but objectively they often were directionally correct. Now the support is lost; he will be impeached; and the extreme left will hound him forever. Makes no sense.

@Gary49148971 @JesseBWatters That’s a scary thought. A more pleasant one, although I have no way to prove it, is that kids who end up voting wouldn’t be at this beach in the first place. Wishful thinking on my part maybe.

If the war continues for a while longer, I don’t think the right can recover from its effect in any meaningful way for at least several years to a decade, and before that happens, the extreme left will destroy the country for good. That’s my prediction.

One interpretation is that he really isn’t as smart as some assume him to be. He has a very tough personality and doesn’t back down, and he got extremely lucky many times, but it seems like there is no 4D chess here after all.

Here's a poll question no media outlets asks: Would you prefer that the Iranian regime launches nuclear missiles at our country or paying .50 cents more a gallon for gasoline?

@BitPaine @Rob1Ham It’s not an assumption at all. Older houses are superior than new ones in quality. That’s an industry fact. Which is why older houses actually cost more than new builds. Easily verifiable fact here.

@Rob1Ham Old houses were also built shitty. It is a fallacy to assume build quality has declined over time.

PSA: NEVER buy a house from a boomer. Wait for prices to fall, and/or buy new construction, which typically leads price declines. Housing materials, appliances, and architecture have advanced a lot since the boomers bought their McMansions for a strawberry.

@PastorMarvy Because China isn’t stupid. Look at the quagmire the US finds itself in. China lifted tens of millions out of poverty and is smart to not waste it all on a war with no clear victory in sight.

🇺🇸 A rocket scientist tied to a missing Air Force general with alleged UFO links has reportedly disappeared under similar circumstances. At least 6 people connected to the same U.S. defense research network are now dead or missing within a year. The cases include Monica Jacinto Reza, an aerospace engineer linked to next-gen rocket tech, and retired Air Force Gen. William McCasland, who disappeared 8 months before under similar circumstances Yeah… that’s a pattern people are definitely going to question. Source: New York Post

@wideawake_media @Skepticali101 I’m old enough to remember when the Dems used to stand for something. Sometimes I agreed with them and sometimes I didn’t. Like the GOP, the old Democratic Party doesn’t exist anymore. No more states-person, just grifters who pander to money—country be damned.

Cenk Uygur finds it "humiliating" that Thomas Massie, Rand Paul and Tucker Carlson are surpassing Democrats in their anti-war stance. "Look, guys, it's humiliating. Tucker Carlson is fighting against this war more than any of the Democratic leaders are." "What if Tucker runs for president? And let's say it's Tucker versus AOC. AOC is going to say what? She was more anti-war than Tucker was?"
