@KnaughtyKnancy @percivalsmum @PhinHarper I had my pfo closed cuz of a couple mini strokes. It fixed my regular migraines as a greatttttttttt bonus effect. Haven’t had one in 20 years now.

I would think of it less as “should I be more concerned?” and more like “Oh, great, there’s a solution!” because PFOs can exist without harming anyone. About 25% of the population has one and most people don’t have any symptoms for it. MWA already came with an increased risk of stroke. Now there’s some research showing there’s a link between MWA, stroke, and PFOs. I also have MWA and have since I was 3. I also get weird hand numbness and have only once or twice had no migraine from it. It sucks, but knowing a possible PFO is the cause gives me hope that at least it may be fixed.
