100% this is why my preferred option for the Bears is to trade out of 25 and get more draft capital. The guy you get at 25 could be the same quality as who you could get at 45

Last year on @BearEraPod the week of the NFL Draft, myself & @FootballEJ did a worse case scenario of guys we wanted that went before the Bears pick. We had one focus and it was Draft a Good Football player. The two names we raised on that stream to pick if others were gone: 1. Emeka Egbuka 2. Colston Loveland The aim at 25 if you can’t move back and the top target is gone. Just draft a good football player and let all else fall into place.

Kevin Warren, George McCaskey and Ryan Poles recently flew to New York to meet with Roger Goodell about the comp picks and made their appeal in person. It's still possible they receive a third round pick in this month's draft, but a decision will be needed soon.
