@Tves500 @la_prettyjane @simphiwedana @IamproudofBrii1 As an Ile Ibinu, it is very rich of you to call any tribe “foreign influenced” when your name Benin is a portuguese name. Ada/Eben even coral beads are Portuguese and all your attires were adapted from Portuguese monks

OONIRISA signs a landmark MOU with Chinese multinational company, Fohow Group, to advance traditional medicine development in Nigeria. This Baba’s signature is why nobody sensible should fall for this claiming to be OONIRISA. Does this look like a signature that he can forged?😂

The Akokos went to war against a Jukun group in central Kogi state today and subjugated them to create Ogori Magongo. That place was originally not a Yoruba city but via expansion from the Akoko axis through war, it gave the Yoruba people another local government in kogi central today called Ogori-Magongo local government. I will give you more examples, if you all don’t stop this narratives. I am not justifying expansionism but nobody was a saint.

@AKakanfo But it's true that western part are expansionists. It's fact, that all history books back up

Lord Of Warri
Lord Of Warri@Lord_Of_Warri·
First of all, you came into Delta State after fleeing Benin, where many of your people were treated as slaves and even used for human sacrifice. Then you turned on yourselves, fighting internally, and some of you later moved into Itsekiri lands as refugees. Even before that, some of your people were already living in Itsekiri territory as slaves. So the audacity to come online and claim that Itsekiri people entered Urhobo lands is wild, especially when there’s documented history that says otherwise. At this point, it’s not even ignorance—it’s willful distortion of facts.

What the Oba of Benin did in that region in the 19th century Itsekiri is another settler tribe that fled to resettle in urhobo. These days they’re claiming lands with urhobo Back then the Oba took many ika and igbanke people lands and carted them into slavery

@Ola24X What a load of crap, do you understand what a Jihad is? You declared Jihad on all of Yorubaland and you lost it. The only place you occupy in Yorubaland today is Ilorin. Afonja destroyed those kingdoms before the fulanis took it from him. You won the early battles, we won the war

It's not owned by Oyo tho, it was popularized by Oyo. Oyo was an empire that encompassed most of Yorubaland. People seem to forget what "EMPIRE" means. When they say Yoruba then they don't refer to Oyo Ile, they refer to Oyo Empire(most of Yorubaland). Oyo takes the credit tho🤷🏾‍♂️.

The ancient Yorùbá were not only builders of kingdoms; they were builders of thought. Long before modern classrooms, Ilé-Ifẹ̀ stood as one of the great intellectual centres of sacred learning, where philosophy, memory, language, cosmology, ethics, and metaphysics were cultivated through disciplined transmission. Children entered training early; often clothed in white, the colour of purity, discipline, and receptivity, and were gradually introduced into the vast philosophical world of Odù Ifá and the esoteric wisdom of Ọ̀rúnmìlà. They began as Ọmọ Awo: apprentices of sacred knowledge. What followed was not casual instruction, but years of memorisation, interpretation, ritual logic, oral philosophy, and deep intellectual formation. To become a Babaláwo could require well over a decade of study; sometimes fifteen years or more, because in Yorùbá thought, wisdom was not information; it was initiation into the architecture of existence. This was philosophy not merely written in books, but embodied in memory, discipline, and speech. Ifá lóni ilé-ayé, Olódùmarè lo lọ̀run. Àbọrú Àbọyè 🙌 #YorubaPhilosophy #Ifa #Orunmila #IleIfe
