@danielle_liat @PaddyTheFitzer @kinzel_john @RBPundit You make it sound like Arafat was promising another war lol, not just insisting on the ability to defend themselves. I agree they should give up on RoR tho. But also, Barak wouldn’t budge on full control of Jerusalem and wouldn’t retreat to 67 borders either. Hence, no deal. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I never said they were in this particular moment. October 7th broke something in the population. But at least Israel has, at certain points throughout history, elected leadership interested in a 2SS. And I believe they will again. The question is: will Palestinians ever support leadership that abandons the idea of destroying Israel. Because this has literally never been the case.

I disagree. There is no evidence the population has abandoned the ideas that made them support Hamas in the first place. They don’t just get a “total reset”. They need to demonstrate that they are interested in building a state, participating in the global economy, and abandoning the pipe dream of destroying Israel. They have not earned the benefit of the doubt.

@danielle_liat @PaddyTheFitzer @kinzel_john @RBPundit Because you’d be sanctioning a state for a crime it didn’t commit. As you have pointed out, they don’t have a country. They have what amounts to a warlord that hasn’t allowed elections for decades. A clean slate is needed. Total reset.

@ModernHerm @PaddyTheFitzer @kinzel_john @RBPundit I will treat them like children for as long as they behave like children. I don’t support Israeli suicide. Why are you acting like this isn’t normal? Loads of treaties have had conditions on militarization of states after they lost wars they started. It’s not new.

@danielle_liat @PaddyTheFitzer @kinzel_john @RBPundit That’s not a state lol. Does Israel allow other nations to tell them what weapons they can and can’t have? They don’t, in the most aggressive possible way (illegal nukes). If you insist on treating them like children, I will have to insist you don’t see them as equal human beings

@ModernHerm @PaddyTheFitzer @kinzel_john @RBPundit Sounds like we’re in agreement. But there certainly would need to be temporary conditions in place. Their state would need to accept Israel and forgo the “right of return” to Israel proper. They’ll have their own state. It needs to be demilitarized for at least a generation.

@danielle_liat @PaddyTheFitzer @kinzel_john @RBPundit Actual 2SS. Not installing an Israeli puppet to rule them. Not limiting all of their imports. If they get a real chance to have a real country, and they use that chance to attack Israel, I’ll be totally on your side.

@danielle_liat @PaddyTheFitzer @kinzel_john @RBPundit An easy way to start would be not endlessly defending their aggression? It’s not clear to me whether you’re American or Israeli, but there are electoral options to change their behavior either way. I don’t want Israel destroyed either, just withdraw to ‘67 borders and do 2SS.

@danielle_liat @PaddyTheFitzer @kinzel_john @RBPundit That’s just not what the word unacceptable means. I believe you don’t like it, but you do find it acceptable. You don’t find this government endorsed terrorism to be a deal breaker in your support for Israel. It is what it is.

Is your brain broken? Supporting a country is not an endorsement of every single action. This is why I say you’re not that bright. You can’t seem to hold two thoughts in your head at the same time. I support the US. I certainly don’t condone their every action. It’s called NUANCE

1. With Massey starting on the IL (I assume Tolbert goes down when he returns) this is the correct 13 hitters. 2. There are 5 guys I'd rather have than Falter, but they had options, he doesn't. If he struggles, or Estevez's FB remains AWOL, I trust they'll pivot quickly. 3. LFG

@danielle_liat @PaddyTheFitzer @kinzel_john @RBPundit Well it’s clearly not obvious lol, Israel has allowed it to go on for decades yet you’re still their biggest cheerleader. You must not actually find it “unacceptable” - you accept it!

I would think the second thing is obvious. It wasn’t a mistake. Have you considered that I’m not engaging with you in order to prove my humanity to you and that I don’t give a fuck what you think about me? You didn’t ask me what I thought of the incident. If you had I would have told you.

For sure they should have accepted a state, that’s obvious. That doesn’t change the fact that that violence against them is not justified and it’s unacceptable. Two things can be true at the same time. Your brain seems to be averse to critical thinking. Simplistic. Almost like you’re a moron.

@danielle_liat @PaddyTheFitzer @kinzel_john @RBPundit lol I shared a story about a horrific pogrom carried out by Israelis against Palestinians just last weekend and your response was “they should have accepted a state.” That is not the response that a person who sees the Palestinians as equals would have.

@ModernHerm @PaddyTheFitzer @kinzel_john @RBPundit I never said Israel SHOULD elect hardline leaders. I said I can understand why they did. My preference would be that they hadn’t. Palestinians should elect people interested in peace as well. Fundamentally you just like accusing random people of dumb shit. It’s really sick.

@danielle_liat @PaddyTheFitzer @kinzel_john @RBPundit You have no standards but double standards huh? You say obviously Israel should elect hardline leaders, but the Palestinians should elect doves who will be maximally compliant. Fundamentally you just don’t think Palestinians are equal to Israelis. It’s really sick.

@Tarek_Bae @mykratz So according to you, even when a soldier goes home and is sleeping in bed, they're still a "legitimate target" based on something they did a week prior? Is that where you're going with all this circumstantial bullshit?

@DerekPederson3 Unfortunately our president has played the “pretend to negotiate in order to pull of an assassination” card one too many times I think.
