@myoung512 @PeterSchiff Oh my bad. I must have missed the headline where normal shipping traffic had resumed in the strait. So safe to say mission accomplished at this point?

What if this war ends with Iran in a stronger position than when it began, the U.S. in a weaker position in the region, and Americans facing a greater threat? To prevent that outcome, the war could drag on indefinitely. In other words, Trump may have started another forever war.

How does Iran even negotiate with this lunacy?

@MonarchyRollo @RichardHanania Why are u so deliberately retarded? This has nothing to do with the quoted piece which is about Trump threatening to destroy their infrastructure if they don’t make an acceptable deal (most notably fixing up the enriched uranium)

@RichardHanania By keeping the strait closed and not relinquishing it until they get concessions followed by action.

@Marcusesxi @PeterSchiff Ok then declare victory now and move on. Trump seems to care a great deal about the strait being opened based on his last tweet by the way.

@MonarchyRollo @PeterSchiff US doesn’t need to do that. It’s hard to get the last 5% of their forces that are dug in. That’s a reality and eliminating the threat entirely isnt worth the cost. The US isn’t dependent on the strait, countries that are can work a deal with Iran to open it. Just real politik

@Marcusesxi @PeterSchiff I notice you didn’t say the strait had to be reopened. I’m glad you’ve accepted the inevitable.

@TweetTardSavant Good for Ukraine. Russia is still happy to have the Iran conflict continue.

@MonarchyRollo Ukraine is targeting Russian oil refineries. They are losing ground to the Ukrainians. Trump got Russia to sell oil in US Dollars. Nato countries won't buy oil from Russia. Arab oil rich nations are backing military action while Europe does nothing.

@TweetTardSavant Russia is loving this. Their oil was unsanctioned. They want the war to go on as long as possible to keep the price of oil elevated and the war prevents the U.S. sending arms to Ukraine because they need them for themselves. Come up with a better cope.

Weakness?? He is bending over backwards to give the muslim radical terrorists a way out. Closing the strait, attacking Arab neighbors, firing cluster bombs at civilians, killing their own people for protesting proves they can never have a nuclear weapon. When this is over Iran will never be a threat to anyone and will lose all ability to threaten a closure of the strait. Iran is losing, China is suffering and Russia is barely holding it together. Russia and China just told Iran to make a deal and open up the strait.

@MonarchyRollo @PeterSchiff I don't think Trump gives a rats ass about what the Filipinos say. The US isn't going to risk taking a nuke up the ass in a decade just so that they can have slightly cheaper oil today. I'm talking mostly about Europe. They have proven themselves to be worthless.

@MonarchyRollo @PeterSchiff Just because Iranians hide in holes and occasionally shoot a missile at a civilian ship doesn’t mean they are winning.

@MonarchyRollo @PeterSchiff You Canadians with TDS have an amazing amount of cognitive dissonance. The U.S. destroys their entities airforce and navy, kills a bunch of senior leaders, destroys almost all their ADA and flies 12000 sorties losing only low single digit aircraft. Yet they are losing?

Defense Secretary Hegseth says that at Trump’s direction, today will be the hardest-hitting day in Iran and tomorrow will be even more severe. He added that Iran will have a choice tomorrow and warned it to “choose wisely.”

@DuaneKnesek @PeterSchiff lol ya I’m sure a few filipino navy ships are gonna make a world of difference. Oil is global market. Americans will be affected by price. Also Iranian oil hasn’t been taken off the market. In fact it was unsanctioned and is more available than ever.

@MonarchyRollo @PeterSchiff Maybe those countries should offer help rather than refuse air passage and whatnot then. I don't know why Trump would be desperate. The US is the #1 oil producer in the world. We don't need Iranian oil.

@Street_Seer @PeterSchiff Their oil is already unsanctioned even before the war is over. Not a stretch to think that all sanctions will be off of their economy as part of the agreement that ends this conflict. They also control the straits of Hormuz and are unlikely to relinquish without major concessions

@DuaneKnesek @PeterSchiff I’m sure the U.S. is getting an earful from the countries that rely on oil from that area. Trump seems kinda desperate too. His truth social posts reek of weakness.

@MonarchyRollo @PeterSchiff The difference between this and '56 is that the US and USSR pushed them to leave back. This time, Trump is (hopefully) not going to care what others think.

@DuaneKnesek @PeterSchiff I’m sure they are reasonable. All the stuff they are reportedly asking for in negotiations is what I would ask for if I were them. I guess Trump doesn’t agree though. Otherwise he would have made a deal with them.

@MonarchyRollo @PeterSchiff Well, he might be right. I wouldn't know. Perhaps the people they are negotiating with are reasonable people now. Though I would prefer the people to revolt and pick somebody.
