@MrNZguy @sharma_views They gained a spot with Iraq winning vs Bolivia. AFC will not lose a spot a country pulled out not replaced by FIFA. Iran had the choice to stay or pull out.

@genncard10 @sharma_views Your right it’s all about pots. And to get into the pots you compete in qualifying in your confederation. UEFA gets 11 and AFC gets 8 A replacement should be from a team who competed in the particular qualifiers for the right to be in the pots. Why should the AFC loose a spot?

@MrNZguy @sharma_views Why? FIFA has a ranking and the best team should be picked, Iran was in pot 2 and Italy would of been in pot 2 if you use another team they would all of been in pot 3 or 4

@genncard10 @sharma_views The next team from the same confederation should replace any team not competing. In this case Asia. Italy isn’t in Asia.

@sharma_views It's all politics TDS, Italy has earned the best FIFA-ranked team in the world, if a team were to pull out then that should be the way to pick the country to replace.
