@Thekstatefan We are into the weeds for tiebreakers. All American Status plus importance to the program, Mendez. His importance in believing the drawings of the future over what the program was when he signed can’t be overstated. Taught us all to carry ourselves with pride and play to win.

K-State GOATs by position...Which position is the most clear-cut only 1 guy can be considered the greatest of all time? And Which positions are the most debatable? I have them ranked but I want to hear some opinions first. A few of mine are going to get some people hot.

@JayHeidrick Also shows you have to be able to piece it together properly from the portal to get established to get players to build from within. Look at Iowa. But if you can put it together properly from the portal, you can get to the keeping a roster together part.

What this shows is the importance of retention to establish and preserve a winning culture. Going to the portal year to assemble an entirely new roster is not a path for sustainable success.

@Thekstatefan I will disagree here. I love Mitch but his pro career has him in Naismith Hall of Fame. Boozer’s K-State career has him in College Basketball HOF. Someone needs to either be national player of the year or lead K-State to a natty to get past Boozer.

@Hoonmar @Thekstatefan Yes because K-State basketball started with Beasley and Pullen and occasional E8’s Certainly know Final 4 First Team AAs, College Basketball HOF, multiple CPOY’s, Conference Champions in our past.

But the fact it blowing E8’s to double digit seeds is not close to the pinnacle achievements of K-State basketball.
