@TalkinYanks Up next is Bobby Witt Jr. who the Yanks are probably going to make look like the second coming of Alex Rodriguez when he posts historic or eye popping numbers against them. Hopefully Aaron Boone & Co. have some kind of plan to stop Bobby or maybe they’ll just watch awe inspired.

@JLas43_ The only knock on Ohtani as the best player ever is the fact that he doesn’t play the field when he’s not pitching. He has no impact on the game defensively except for the one day a week that he pitches. It doesn’t make much sense since he clearly has the physical tools to do it.

It’s not even a hot take anymore to say that he’s the greatest baseball player who ever lived. He’s just physically capable of doing things that no other modern day player has ever been able to do. He’s an alien. You’ll never see it again in your lifetime.

@JLas43_ It’s pretty shocking that the Mets would rely on these two after seeing them falter as much as they did right across town with the Yanks. The Mets brass had front row seats to see how unreliable they can be.

@YESNetwork Rice is a liability on defense when playing catcher, it’s as simple as that. He should be behind the plate very rarely & not in any pivotal games. If they insist on starting Goldy against lefties than Stanton has to sit in favor of Rice at DH. Rice’s bat must stay in the lineup.
