This YAM at Cullen we celebrate Big Art Day with our “BIG ART out of LITTLE ART” display! Our cub artists and staff created post-it note art during art class the past several weeks that was all then gathered together for a school wide mural. #bigartday25 @HaysFineArts @TXarted

Cub artists are winning artistically at Cullen! 3rd grade students finished their 3D lesson with a medal ceremony! Students used @Crayola air dry clay and hand-building techniques to design their own medal and sprayed own their ribbon design. @HaysFineArts #youthartmonth @TXarted

Thanks to a @HaysCISD Education Foundation grant, “Picture This”, CES Photography Club had its first meeting! Photographers played Photo Bingo to learn how to “frame” their photos. #photographyclub #artmatters @HaysFineArts

CES kinder and 1st grade artists started 2025 learning how to break down animals into simple shapes. Thanks to the @aplusfcu Education Foundation grant students used large toy animals and @KleenSlates to practice their observational drawings. #artmatters @HaysFineArts

Inspired by the work of Indigenous artist @NorvalMofficial our cub artists in 3rd grade used simple shapes to draw their own bear for their work! Then using organic shapes they filled their work with layered analogous colors. #artmatters #collageart @HaysFineArts @HaysCISD

What better way to learn about still life… than to play and arrange with your blocks first?! These 1st grade cubs composed their blocks then used paper and oil pastel to create a still life collage. They reviewed color and shape as well in this lesson. #artmatters @HaysFineArts

New art up on display at Cullen! 1st did a study of Caulder with organic shape paintings and fish mobiles! K studied Kahlo’s still life and created a Fruit collage. 4th learned about the Panama Mola and created chalk molas with their own designs. #artmatters @HaysFineArts

Our Cubs are hard at work reflecting and creating beautiful artwork at Cullen! 1 is wrapping up lines, shapes and patterns with Chameleons, 2 is collaging some fun @garethlucasart inspired spiders, and 3 is reflecting on their art pieces with @Artsonia. @HaysFineArts @HaysCISD
