Last night I asked my husband what his “go-to font” was and he looked at me like I was speaking a different language!! What’s your font of choice? I’m a Century Gothic gal 💁🏻‍♀️

As we are winding down our unit novel of To Kill A Mockingbird, 9th grade Ss @sciencehill_jcs were able to show the connections they made on our visible thinking Hex Map! Ss defended their connections to the class and through written analysis📝💻

Character analysis may be one of my favorite things! Today 9th grade started to see these characters as dynamic people that change over time & we analyzed how the author crafted the narrative to develop these characters. @ScienceHill_JCS 9th graders are 🔥fire🔥 this year!

Kicked off a new persuasive writing unit with an interactive word wall sort! Ss examined and justified the relationships between vocab words for our Food Systems unit! We will be exploring the EQ: Who is responsible for sustaining our food systems? @jcityTNschools @MustLoveELA

8th graders @jcityTNschools writing about how they can make their voices heard, even as teens! We researched ways to get involved in our community to impact change, even though Ss can’t yet vote. @sectrehargett #whyyourvotematters

Watched Jurassic World Dominion last night. It might be the worst movie I’ve ever seen. Also, some how the dinosaurs look faker? So mad we wasted our time watching it. Though, I guess it was good for the (probably not intended) laughs. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Finally finished my big project: the “What Should I Read Next” wall. Students can grab the cover off the wall and find the summary of the book on the back! I’ve got most of them in my classroom library, but they’ve been so into it, they’re almost all checked out🤭 #readingmatters
