From someone who's been kicking around teaching for a while now, it may be useful to know that pretty much every teacher going will be planning excellent, ambitious lessons for their new class and promptly completing about 40-60% of what they intended. It's so normal early on.

@LauraLolder Really like the advice they’ve added onto the bottom of the report for students - I’m going to put this on an attractive looking document and get students to stick it in their books as key reminders!

You are not officially a teacher until you’ve stood in front of a class in silence with your arms folded waiting for them to be quiet. And, then followed it up with, ‘I’ll be in here at break time anyway so it makes no difference whether you’re in here with me’’
