@doctor2pi@DrEddiesClass@teachsci8@Tech_Buddha@Ststansberry@Duncannedd A1Building a relationship with students through a remote learning environment becomes easier over time. Students will navigate new and exciting platforms that will enhance their education. I believe zoom and google classroom is the best way to connect with them. #edte4200#csubted
@BrittChafin@Ststansberry@doctor2pi@Duncannedd Hi Britt, I agree there might be students that don’t know how to utilize the laptops. So probably creating a workshop or training before they are given the devices, should be helpful.
This has been such a great Twitter slow chat. Let’s keep it going!! Here's our question for the night. Make sure you respond with A3) before your response. Don't forget to tag #CSUBTED , #CSUBEDTE4200@doctor2pi@Ststansberry@Duncannedd
@alexandriaaadg@Ststansberry@doctor2pi@Duncannedd Hi Alex, your suggestion of providing hotspots for students sounds like a great idea. When they are assigned a chrome book, hotspot should be include for they can easy connect to their online assignments.
@MrsKatieBarton@drevanssantiago@DrEddiesClass Hi Katie, I find it very helpful that you mentioned using Quizizz for math exams, which also keeps track of the students progress by saving the spreadsheet. Thank you for sharing I’m going to look more into Quizizz. #CSUBTEd#EDTE4200
@Erika353_@DrEddiesClass@doctor2pi@Ststansberry@Duncannedd Hi Erika, your idea of sharing google slides with informative key words with translations is brilliant. The google slides can be shared with the students, they will have easy access to it by saving it to their google drive. #CSUBTEd#EDTE4200 ✏️
@Ststansberry@doctor2pi@Duncannedd A3We could make technology more accessible to the community by creating programs to ensure students receive devices & internet connection. A challenge I see that limits technology in the community is poor connection due to their area/community. So, creating the programs nearby
@drevanssantiago A4As a future middle school mathematics teacher, the technology I would use to inspire engagement is MyOpenMath. This site allows students to manage and assess their mathematical skills by completing homework and quizzes.Students can also create discussion forums. @Ststansberry
@DrEddiesClass@doctor2pi@Ststansberry@Duncannedd A2An app that I found useful for ELL is FluentU. This app helps students learn English from multiple videos, movie trailers, news, etc, and turns it into your personal learning lessons. Once they complete a lesson I would like for them to post it on Flip-grid. @Ststansberry
