Based on the curl pattern when wet, this is more 4b than 4c hair though.

@kikimordi @imnotchichiii Your hair is 4c. Hers is not. Your curls are really small. Curl pattern is best seen on wet hair without any curl defining product. All her wash day videos clearly show it's 4b hair mostly.

@imnotchichiii Exactly. I have 4a/4b hair. I have siblings with 4c hair. Their curls are so much smaller. Also 4b tends to have a zigzag pattern. 4c hair legit looks like cotton wool with just water. Of course water elongates curls but the roots don't lie. That curl definition will be absent.

You can't determine curl pattern on a dry afro because of shrinkage. Everybody sha wants to claim 4c hair.

@kikimordi @imnotchichiii That's not 4c hair. I've been on natural hair care boards since 2009 and actual 4c hair does not have the curl definition that her hair has at the roots when wet. 4b and 4c basically look the same dry.
