Day Trading $SPY with only $50? Today marks the end of the first week. I’m trading LIVE every day, not with expectations but as an effort of timing, discipline, and accuracy. I’m not risking much, but I’m acting as though I am. I have before turned a $100 account into over $15K, as late as June-July 2024, documented on my Instagram. But, that was from fullport trades at the open and some luck. This time I’m being more strategic and focused on process. If it fails, so be it. I would try it again with $500 because I know it can be done and more. I’ve done it before. I am confident. The goal is to document the path from nothing to something. Today I lost $16, or ~35% of the $50 account. The trade would have worked a few minutes later, but that is trading. I do not advise anyone do this, even if the risk is small, although you will learn alot. Next week I continue from $33.09. There will be better days. God bless and have a great weekend.

Took a solid trade today on $SPY, just before power hour the market was making a new low after gapping up and then weakening below previous weeks low (Friday low). Uncertainty hadn’t changed + the $VIX opened above 30 and was holding 31. I entered a 631P for $0.55 as it broke a new low (late entry), had about a $10 drawdown, and took profit only 9 minutes later for $0.69, returning +25% or +$14, although the move confirmed and then ended up almost 2 dollars in the money: the contract ran over 200%, (a reminder to hold winners and stick to risk, something to practice). My $50 account is now up to $113.49 for a total gain of 89.87% in about three weeks. $VIX still above 30 overnight, $SPY below 633 and 630 key levels, will look for an overnight move and morning momentum before lunch tomorrow. This Monday has been Bidenized into Biden’s market.

After this week I'm going back to work and I'll be busy half the market week. Which sucks. Didn't make a ton of progress yet, but that's fine. It's a slow process and that's even if I make it through and past 4 and 5 figures. I'm just grateful to be able to participate and learn something new every day. And for the potential energy of progression. Holding yourself accountable is really hard, but you have to do it. No matter how much you're trading with, you have to be serious. Hopefully, I can make sustainable progress, and slowly transition towards higher quality trades, assets, and instruments: options, common stock, and futures. $SPY Cheers to everyone building a small account or learning how to trade for the first time, it's a long harsh endeavor but it is worth it if you care enough to last long enough to win.

$SPY gapped up ~1% only to go nowhere

After waiting through the first 4 hours of choppy price action today, and after gapping down 0.40% below the previous weeks low, which was anticipated, also marking a new monthly, quarterly, and yearly low, nearing correction territory on $SPY at -9-10% at close. I took a trade which was a scalp at 1:25 EST just before the fourth hour, as we had made multiple layers of confirmation, including a solid rejection of the VWAP prior. The entry was a $SPY 634P at $0.32 (risk to reward favored volatility), and my exit was for $0.52 at 1:29 EST, right before the 30m and hourly candle close, as I suspected possible inside bar or draw down there, which worked out perfectly. Basically a 1:1 trade, but it returned +65% or $20 on one contract. I did not hesitate, caught a solid entry, took the W in less than 5 minutes, avoiding any drawdown. My account is now up from $59.77 to $100.18 for a 67.60% gain total in the first 2-3 weeks and 3 trades. Good way to end this uncertain and bland week for price action. It still seems likely that the market just gaps up again next week, but we shall see. I have some work to do and I’m gonna be really busy next month. Have a great weekend all.

$SPY $QQQ Fear and Greed Index at 11 👀 This is lining up well with the Banana325SMA sitting at $SPY 630. Get sentiment at a huge negative extreme right at the point of interest that has worked to a T for the last 6 years of that chart below, mathematically that would be approximately 70 points down from the high of 700, 70 points on 700 is 10% on the indexes while many of the “main names” people own are down 15%, 20%, 25% and more 🤔

Took a near perfect trade on the vwap reject, lower low confirmation, with practically exact time based exit before the final confirmation at 1:30, or the 4th hourly close at lows. I will post about it after the close. $SPY

My prediction: even if $SPY closes at its low today around 635, it will gap up to 645-650 again next week. Probably nothing though.
