Whatever brings Jeremiah Smith through the door, you can't win your way out of a generational wide receiver like this that comes around once a decade. I wouldn't mind Mendoza finishing the last month of the season as a starter and then releasing Kirk and letting Mendoza take the reins in 2027 with Jeremiah Smith to aim at.

Unless Something bad happens to Kirk I personally prefer Raiders sit Fernando the entire season. Let him play preseason a ton to get those live reps and sit. Continue to build up the roster next offseason and boom it’s his.
