Our visit to the Museum of Geosciences really ROCKED!!!

Hey! Our first meeting of the semester/new year/new decade is gonna be in the Museum of Geosciences (Derring 2062) on Monday (01/27) at 6:30 pm. There will be free pizza(!!pizza!!!)

@mauriakme @TeamHerps Tuataras are a part of the order Rhynchocephalia, despite their lizardy appearance. Native to New Zealand, these guys are the last in their lineage, which split from other reptiles about 220 MYA.

Meeting Monday (12/9) in Cheatham 133. We will be touring the vertebrate collection and possibly doing some volunteer work.

Our next meeting will be Monday (11/18) at 6:00 pm in the dissection lab (Derring 1047). Be forewarned: we will be dissecting snakes for the collection! If you’re up for it we’d love to see you there! 🐍🐍🐍

Our next meeting will be Monday, 11/4, at the Blacksburg Nature Center. We will be meeting in the first floor lobby of Squires at 5:45 pm before heading over.

Halloween Social this Friday from 6-9pm in the Massey Herbarium (Derring 3017). There will be a pumpkin carving competition (bring your own pre-carved pumpkin) and a showing of Jurassic Park. There will also be free pizza!
