March 24, 2023: A day we will never forget. This is especially true for those in Rolling Fork, Silver City, Black Hawk, Vaiden, Winona, Amory, and surrounding communities. In a matter of minutes, lives were changed forever. Although progress has been made, these communities continue to feel the effects of that horrific day, and the road to recovery is still ongoing for many. That night was a powerful reminder of how quickly severe weather can turn life-threatening — especially after dark — and why preparation and awareness are so critical. Our thoughts and prayers remain with everyone who was affected, and with those who lost loved ones during this tragic tornado outbreak. We honor their memory today. #mswx

A new #tornado watch is forthcoming soon from the Lower Ohio Valley to the Mid-South and beyond. The line of storms will continue to intensify and supercells may develop ahead of it. Tornadoes, some possibly strong, and damaging winds are likely across the whole region.
