Hot off the press @DrShaneRetiMP confirms the government’s intention to continue funding antivirals and vaccines beyond 30 June 2024. Shane Reti stated there is NO change to eligibility criteria.

Pharmac advises that the Covid paediatric vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 years is switching to the updated XBB.1.5 Pfizer vaccine on 30 May 2024. No date yet for an update to the infant vaccine for < 5 year olds.

Heads up: #Novavax is preparing for private / retail vaccine provision in New Zealand and Australia. This includes offering single vial doses, instead of 5 dose vials.
