A large group protesters in Washington DC stood their ground as a helicopter tried disperse the crowd last night. Some knelt, others held up fists in defiance, and as the helicopter flew off cheers erupted along with the chant "Who's streets? Our streets."

The first cherry blossoms are popping up at the Tidal Basin in DC. But as the coronavirus spreads, large outdoor events are being cancelled. Tonight I'll complete my first full piece with AP about the impact COVID-19 is having on tourism.

Today was my first time inside the White House and my first time seeing President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence in person. Trump and doctors from CDC and NIH spoke on the coronavirus. More than 100 journalists packed into the White House Press breifing room.
