As Claire steps into Leah's personal quarters, she sees the Naval Officer draw and aim her M6 with a stern stare with one of her beady, hazel eyes.
"It's good to knock, ma'am. State your business." Leah flares her nose with a bit of a huff.

To tell the truth, she’s not entirely sure either, but she has her order. She rationalizes it as just some kinda protection detail or some research, but she’s focused and ready to meet the Officer as she enters the barracks.

Leah would have no idea what Ms. Redfield would need to shadow her for. If Leah were a member of the Office of Naval Intelligence, it'd be understandable.
However, Leah commands the bridge of a starship. Not any biohazards...

She has no reason to prepare herself for the duties that await her as soon as the Helldiver locks eyes with Leah.
