📢National Windrush Day, introduced in June 2018 on the 70th anniversary of the Windrush migration. Though it is not a bank holiday in the UK, it is an observed day. It was instituted following a successful initiative led by Windrush campaigner Patrick Vernon. 1/2

🏳️‍🌈🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Happy Pride Cymru! Held every year in Cardiff, Pride Cymru was 1st celebrated in 1999. It was originally organised by members of the LGBTQ+ community with support from the South Wales Police. It is now led by Pride Cymru & takes place in conjunction with the Big Weekend.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏳️‍🌈
