EXCL: Angela Rayner will use a speech tomorrow to call for "bolder action" from Sir Keir Starmer's government, echoing a challenge from two Labour MPs who have warned the prime minister's "caution and incrementalism" is paving the way for a populist takeover of Britain. Rayner will say that there should be a “bolder story” from the government on how it is serving the British people and taking on vested interests. Rayner is understood to have taken an interest in ideas from Louise Haigh and Chris Curtis, who chair two influential MP groupings, and will speak at the same event where their ideas are launched on Tuesday. Writing in The Times. Haigh and Curtis said the country "is not moving in the right direction" and that "Labour MPs are as hungry for change as the public". The pair insisted their intervention was not designed to destabilise No 10 and did not explicitly call for Starmer to be replaced. But it comes at a precarious moment in the prime minister's premiership, with his future after next month's local elections under increasing doubt and further pressure piled on by the continuing fallout from the Peter Mandelson saga. Haigh and Curtis will outline their approach at the Good Growth Foundation's National Growth Debate tomorrow. Rayner is expected to speak at the evening reception. thetimes.com/article/4c749d…

If the fans that follow the team all over the UK can applaud the team and not cur$e the coach then I see no reason why you on social media should be sending out cur$es like an id!ot. There's freedom of choice. You can go support Barcelona, Bayern Munich or even Manchester city. Yes you can be angry and have a meltdown but there should be a line and not the one you will be acting like a f00l all over X. When I was feeling down yesterday I didn't open my X until this morning

Having answered her questions directly (do watch!), I urged the interviewer to examine whether Tice pays his taxes. She defended Tice to me, then raised his taxes here—and got the facts wrong. As Mr Pogrund says, GB News CAN cover whether Tice pays his taxes. So, will they?

I hope the media is beginning to get it. The British system is dysfunctional. The bureaucrats are in charge and withhold information all the time. I have no sympathy for Starmer - he is an inveterate liar and he and his mates Blair and Brown created the unaccountable albatross we have today.

It’s good news that the Strait of Hormuz has now reopened. This must be a long lasting and workable solution, without tolls or restrictions on routes. Today we announced our joint plan with France and other international partners to protect freedom of navigation. We need to see a return to peace and stability, and a permanent ceasefire.
