He’ll never be able to walk down his local High Street again without security. His Manifesto revealed nothing of the damage he foisted on the UK and would not have been voted in if he’d been honest about what his plans were.

@NHSWorker17 He needed more money for the threats we face today , but the Treasury wouldn't cough up the 18 bn requested. Defence matters above welfare handouts which this government prioritises . On top of the money being spent on housing 3rd world migrants , this government is a shower!

@Neilsbar The DS didn’t resign because Labour ‘cut defence’. He resigned because he wanted even more on top of the increases already made. His resignation was about the timing of future increases, not cuts, & certainly not about Labour ‘only caring about its voting base’. Facts matter.

@Neilsbar Defence spending has increased in real terms, the House of Commons Library confirms it. Benefits aren’t ‘higher than ever’, DWP data shows most UC claimants are disabled, carers or in work. And migrants aren’t ‘taking jobs’, employment levels among UK born workers have risen.

@Neilsbar Benefits culture isn’t ‘growing’, most claimants are in work, disabled, or carers. Migration is lower than it was two years ago, and MOD funding has increased in real terms. Facts matter, even if they’re inconvenient.

@Neilsbar This doesn’t match the data. GDP has returned to growth, inflation has fallen, NHS funding is rising in real terms & capital investment is finally increasing after years of decline. 14yrs of cuts can’t be reversed overnight, but the indicators show rebuilding not destruction.
