It's not just about India but people everywhere introduce outsiders to slang and abuses first because humor and shock value create instant bonding. Also, most foreigners actually know "namaste" before any Hindi gaali and words like "bhai" "yaar" "chai" "jugaad" "chalo" etc are also very casually used by foreigners these days. This says a lot about how informal human interactions work everywhere.

Random thought: We've normalized introducing our language to foreigners through swear words. Meet an Indian anywhere in the world, and there's a good chance the first hindi word you'll learn is a gaali. Says a lot about us!
