@itsAdrianaavt For me it's worse because I need to translate from Portuguese to English to converse... So, for people, I take too long to respond and they give up on talking, or they notice the grammatical errors and think I'm a bratty kid >:/

THINGS I LEARNED ABOUT BEING FUNNY (so far):
1. comedy is tension + payoff, just like horror and music
2. if you escalate 3 times quickly, the third time is the funniest, but more than 3 times gets old
3. use pauses or swap your pacing between fast and slow
4. keep these in your back pocket: exaggeration, understatement, juxtaposition, misdirection, double entendre, callbacks
5. jokes are funniest when you don't expect them, so mix and vary all of this, don't just keep doing one thing

my viewers dropped recently and while part of me wonders what i did wrong, i know it's likely just they got busy. i still remember them.

Vtubers don't want you to know this, but we can be a little parasocial towards our viewers too sometimes I have friends who are like 'oh one of my chatters hasn't been showing up lately, I wonder if I said something wrong' and it's lowkey cute but don't tell them I said that. 🤫
