@VetAffairsDems The issue goes beyond complexity, it’s inconsistency in how claims are evaluated. The Waco RO, are prioritizing “continuity of care” over documented symptomology. This results in claim denials that effectively limit access to earned benefits, creating a evil layer of bureaucracy.
Congress should focus on cutting red tape—not on making veterans' claims more confusing. Veterans shouldn't need a law degree to get the benefits they've earned.
@DeptVetAffairs The VA loves 'honoring' veterans on X, but they really honor us with a bureaucratic system of denial and delay. Bold move to trade our lives for 'likes.' I hope the Secretary is polishing his resume; once we march on Washington, his career will be 'denied' just like our benefits.
@traxler_bethpac@SecVetAffairs@DeptVetAffairs Incorrect, VBA makes the final call, but they rely on medical evidence VA must obtain under 38 C.F.R. § 3.159 and ensure is adequate under § 4.2. Those exams come from VA/contract doctors, so what they document directly affects outcomes.
@NewCryptoX333@SecVetAffairs@DeptVetAffairs VA doctors have nothing to do with claims processes. The VAis divided in three separate entities. Veterans cemeteries, veterans health administration, or VA Medical Center's and veterans benefits administration. The VBA are the ones that decide benefits including disability

@SecVetAffairs@DeptofWar This VA secretary is just as bad as any previous one. Is this how we honor our veterans, with a bureaucratic system designed to deny and delay their benefits and care? Veterans are going to start marching to Washington DC, and that will end your career. Waiting...
Faith and service go hand in hand. Great to be with my brothers and sisters in uniform yesterday for the monthly prayer breakfast at @DeptofWar. As an Air Force Chaplain, I am constantly inspired by the devotion of those who serve our nation.

Marching north with his fellow Marines toward the Chosin Reservoir, Lee Hugh Phillips would soon join the fight that led him being awarded the Medal of Honor.

The Gainesville, GA hero @USArmy Lt. Alexander Nininger was the first Medal of Honor recipient of World War II. On this National Medal of Honor Day, we remember how he fought his way through enemy positions destroying several enemy groups and snipers at the Battle of Bataan, before succumbing to his wounds. A cenotaph at @ArlingtonNatl memorializes his service and sacrifice. It’s an honor to share the same hometown as this courageous hero.
@SecVetAffairs@DeptVetAffairs "resources" doesn't fix the legal errors at the Waco RO. Documented in-service injuries are being ignored, and Vets are denied for "lack of treatment" despite the legal wording continuity of symptomatology (38 CFR § 3.303b). Your raters ignore the medical incidents in our records
Some scars never fade. But faith reminds us that even in the hardest moments, God carries what we cannot. For our Veterans, the weight of those scars can be heavy. @deptvetaffairs is here with resources to ensure that no on walks that path alone. Hope is always within reach.
@DeptVetAffairs My wife saw firsthand how bad the VA hospital experience was, and it really upset her. She couldn’t believe that veterans are treated that way, so she decided to put me back on her insurance. She even said she wouldn’t want anyone to have to go through that.

Great weekend wrapping up over $56 BILLION in energy deals with our Indo-Pacific allies.
Thanks to @POTUS’ strong leadership, the world is turning to reliable, affordable U.S. energy and investing in good-paying American jobs that will uplift communities across the country!
President Trump gave me one mission – take care of Veterans. I’m doing just that. From reducing the disability backlog to opening 33 new clinics to creating a National Center for Warrior Independence in LA for our homeless Veterans, we’re making sure our Veterans are getting the care and benefits they have earned.
@SecVetAffairs The backlog didn’t drastically reduce, claims are just now being denied faster. VA raters keep demanding & weaponizing “continuity of care,” when the law requires Continuity of Symptoms under 38 C.F.R. § 3.303(b). Veterans are getting more tired of the VA system.

@SecVetAffairs@DeptVetAffairs You say 120 days, but my HLR lumbar claim has been stuck over 2 years at the Waco VA. Repeated denials using “continuity of care” instead of symptoms under 38 CFR §3.303(b). My claims exceed 120 days. Waco is misrepresenting its data to you! This is a disgrace to combat veterans.
Putting Veterans first means making sure they aren’t stuck waiting over 120 days for their disability claims. That’s why @DeptVetAffairs has set a goal of reducing that to 45 days or less. Our Veterans deserve better.
@SCUBADi22104765@SecVetAffairs@POTUS@WhiteHouse@DeptVetAffairs I’m sorry for the loss of your friends. The VA still reports suicide data, but it’s often years behind and depends on how deaths are recorded by states. If a veteran isn’t identified in the report, it may never be counted, which is why the real number is higher.
Great to meet with the soldiers and families at Caserma Ederle during my trip to the Paralympics. But even better to run into the local Girl Scouts! Nothing says home like a box of cookies. On behalf of President Trump, thank you to our service members and their families for everything you do for our country.
