Congrats to Dr. @_chrisT3na, newest PhD from the Johnston lab! As her X handle suggests, "Mac" made amazing discoveries about how thyroid hormone (T3) is regulated in the retina to control development. Mac is an amazing scientist and colleague and I am so proud of her!

Excited to share our recent work led by Nguyet Le, a talented PhD student, on regeneration of neurons . We have found a highly efficient way to turn retinal Müller glial cells into neurons by simultaneously inhibiting multiple repressors. Thanks all team members

Excited to share a new preprint from part of my thesis work! Here we demonstrated highly efficient reprogramming of glia into neurons by inhibiting Rbpj-mediated Notch signaling and NFI in adult mouse retina. Deeply grateful to @ThanhHoang_ and @SethBlackshaw for their guidance.
