Northview Elementary Science Club begins Monday, November 11. Permission forms are now available in the office, and are due this Friday, November 8th. This club is open to all grade levels.

Our 2nd graders received the highest number of Northview PRIDE tickets for the first grading period and we celebrated their achievement with a Halloween dance party! #pbisrewards

Dr. Quinn is a professor of Children’s Literature from Taylor University. He visited Mrs. Martin’s classroom today (Mrs. Martin was one of his students at TU) and read several books to our 5th graders. Thank you to Dr. Quinn for sharing your love of reading with our students.

Update: ALL SEVEN of our Symphony in Color school winners have been selected as state finalists out of the hundreds of submissions from across the state! These students’ works of art will be exhibited at the Indiana State Museum from March 23 through April 28, 2024.

It was a great day at the 9th Mississinewa VEXIQ State Qualifying Event! Our Northview and RJB teams proudly represented on our home court, among 52 teams from around the state. Thank you to all of the volunteers who shared their time and talents to make today a success!

Northview is proud of this group of young vocalists, who joined in the Circle the State with Song concert today at Marion High School. Thank you, Mrs. Neal, for your leadership of our music programs!

In library special, Northview second graders spent the week reading “Quilt of Dreams” by Mindy Dwyer. They made their own class quilts of dreams by drawing their favorite memories and wishes on quilt squares.

As part of a fitness unit in P.E. class, students practiced yoga led by Mrs. Stanley and Mrs. LeFever. The unit focused on cultivating a healthy mind and a healthy body through practical application with skills to help students feel balanced physically, mentally, and emotionally.

It was another great weekend for our Robotics program! All five NV teams made the finals for the third event in a row. Team A swept the awards with a bid to the State Championship, and took home the Design Award, Excellence Award, and were Teamwork Champions! We are proud of you!

Two of our outstanding 5th grade teachers, Mr. Toevs and Miss Corn, were selected for @viacreditunion Teacher Grants this year! We are so proud of them both and can’t wait to see how they use their funds to support student learning and student opportunities!

The weather is getting cold this week! Please make sure that your students come prepared to go outside unless the wind chill is below 32 degrees. Coats, hats, and gloves are all important for the comfort and safety of your child. Call the office if you need assistance with this!
