Conan O'Brien congratulated Danhausen on his WWE debut, calling it proof that hard work and passion can take you places. ​ On the Conan O'Brien Needs a Fan podcast, O'Brien revisited his original 2021 interview with Danhausen, which was the first fan episode the show ever produced. At the time, Danhausen was grinding on the independent scene driving 12 hours every weekend. ​ "This is a guy who just applied an incredible work ethic to his passion. This is proof again that if you can marry hard work to your passion, you can go places. Massive congratulations and mad respect to Danhausen. I'm so proud of you." ​ O'Brien joked that since Danhausen's character is based on him, he is entitled to a cut: "I'm getting 20%." ​ In the original interview, Danhausen described his character as "very nice, very evil, because nobody likes somebody who's too evil. So I introduce the nice part of it, so then they buy into it and I can trick them." ​ Danhausen said his character is often described as what would happen if a demon possessed Conan O'Brien: "I'm heavily influenced by you rather than other wrestlers." ​ He said nobody cared when he was just a good wrestler: "They cared once I switched and put on makeup and started acting goofy and doing Simpsons references in the middle of matches. I stole the Mr. Burns hop in. I brought a tiny airplane to the ring, and I told my opponent to hop in, and I had three, four hundred people chanting 'hop in' at this guy." ​ Danhausen said he also pours loose human teeth into his opponents' mouths to disorient them, carries a money sack, and adds "hausen" to the end of everything. His finishing move is called the Good Night Hausen. ​ Danhausen said wrestling should be fun: "It shouldn't be work." ​ O'Brien was so taken with the character that he pitched appearing in the ring to save Danhausen during a match: "The music changes, fog machines go on, and I appear.
