@TWarPhilosopher The concept of Achilles and Patroclus being lovers wasn’t created by Miller you swine. It goes as far back as Plato and Aeschylus. Plato wrote about it in Symposium and Aeschylus wrote a play about it in 5th Century BCE.

I've seen arguments over whether suki should be in the gaang or not, and while some work as the writing for suki was limited, "the gaang can't have two nonbenders" is really silly and highlights how people see nonbenders as lesser. Suki and Sokka don't even share the same weapon!

There is a similar situation in Irish paganism. Crom Cruach “The Crooked One” predates the entirety of the Irish pagan pantheon and the church had to fight way harder and way longer to stop people worshipping him than they did for any pagan “deity”
