Our thoughts are with the Jewish community following the horrifying arson attack in Golders Green, where emergency vehicles serving the community were deliberately targeted. Such an attack - carried out against those who exist to save lives - is deeply shocking. These appalling acts of violence should have no place in our society. They are not isolated incidents, but part of a deeply troubling rise in antisemitism and hate crime more broadly. In recent years, the UK has seen thousands of antisemitic incidents annually, with levels remaining near record highs. This pattern reflects a wider climate in which hatred, intimidation, and division are becoming more visible and more emboldened - whether directed at Jewish communities or other minoritised groups. We must stand together against antisemitism in all its forms - whether it appears as violence, vandalism, abuse, or rhetoric. Amnesty is joining forces with others to take a stand together in the Together Alliance. We stand for a different vision of society: one which focuses on unity and love instead of division.
