On Easter Sunday 2000, Kerry played Meath in the semi-final of Gaelic football's national league, with both changing from green As Kerry's adidas deal had ended, and the new O'Neills kit had not arrived, they played in an early 1990s set made by Emerald Active Wear

@SimonHarrisTD You’re about 10 years late with your observations. And your announcement here is still not action - it’s just a post on X. When will the action come?

@MichealSantino_ @elonmusk @TRobinsonNewEra Wrong. He was put in jail for breaching court orders and repeatedly ‘turning up for work’ at a place he no longer worked at, and stalking around the grounds of the school where children were trying to learn. He turned the place into a circus and cost the taxpayer millions

Young Irish teacher Enoch Burke has now spent over 600 days in prison for refusing to use gender bending ideology for pupils in his class. His mother and sister visited him in jail today, as they left, gardaí were waiting for them, and jailed them too!

With respect, you have the wrong end of the stick here @elonmusk. Enoch IS NOT in prison for his beliefs or refusing to use they / them pronouns. He is in prison for trespassing and repeatedly not abiding by simple and fair Court Orders. Ireland is not a country that locks people up for their beliefs.

I know I say this constantly. But the lack of decent infrastructure that we have to show for all the excess corporation tax and fines is just staggering.

Apple made €1.3bn profit per week in Ireland last year, its accounts show. Paid €20bn in tax to the Irish govt in 2025, mostly cos of the EU tax ruling. (All of that EU penalty tax fine cash is kept by Irish govt/people) independent.ie/business/apple…

"These are, by the way, let's be really clear, BAM's own timelines. They're not my timelines... And they miss them again and again and again" - Health Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill on the National Children's Hospital (NCH) delays. 🏗️Builders BAM will now be missing their 18th completion deadline, with the NCH projected to be ready by Summer 2027 at the earliest. 🎙️Jennifer Carroll MacNeill joined Claire Byrne to talk us through where we are at, where the delays are coming from and what we can expect from the hospital itself.

@IrishTimesOpEd @IrishTimes No. Our problems aren’t that we haven’t enough money - we’ve never had as much. It’s an over spending and waste/ inefficiency problem. This government has one idea for everything: more tax. They then waste the money. Then say they need more because they wasted that money

@businessposthq Why can’t both exist? There is blame and there should be accountability and repercussions for blatant failure/neglect. If people have no responsibility or fear of poor decisions, they behave badly. There should also be solutions but the people who are in power have no solutions.

Ireland = Tax upon tax upon tax upon tax. People already paid income tax on all of that money so the government already got its pound of flesh. Taking another 33% of that money in tax is outrageous. The country has been taxed to death and the money is all being wasted. That’s the main thing in this country.

The End Discrimination in Inheritance Tax campaign group has said uncles and aunts are being discriminated against by the tax system. They are unhappy that nephews and neices have to pay Capital Acquisitions Tax (CAT) of 33% on any sum they inherit over €40,000. newstalk.com/news/inheritan…

Irish people pay huge taxes on income and huge taxes in everyday life. Insurance and healthcare costs are constantly rising. Cost of living and prices of basic food is crazy. Honestly, would you blame them for seeking one area of life where they are not getting absolutely ripped off?

Sorry, but the government are the ones gouging all of us with taxes. The problem isn’t these increases. It’s the huge taxes that have everyone under financial strain. We are simply paying far too much tax in this country and nobody can deny that. That’s the issue. The other issue is government routinely wasting money and chronic mismanagement of taxpayers money.

@NewstalkFM Ireland can’t protect itself from anything it seems. We have no independence in any area. We take no steps to insulate ourselves from anything shocks be they food related, energy related or oil and gas related. We’re too busy with nonsense and moralistic politics.

How isn’t there money for these basic things like edu. Where’s all the money gone / going? We took in €105.7 BILLION in 2025: - 36.6 billion (income tax) - 32.9 billion (corporation tax) - 22.9 billion (VAT) - 6.5 billion (excise duty) Lack of money isn the problem! This government is the problem with consistent financial mismanagement, waste and negligence. We have nothing to show for all of this money. Criminal.
