Yes but that is essentially starting out, and that 1 bedroom apartment can have a roommate. Might suck. Of course a two bedroom woth a roommate would not he twice that, either. Starting salaries for teachers with a bachelors are not stellar. But many have programs to pay for advanced degrees - and guarantee higher pay for those degrees. They also have set step increases every year or set of years.
