Baleba was the first midfielder heavily linked under Amorim before he was sacked. We hesitated over the asking price and walked away. Since Carrick took over, it’s been one name after another: Anderson, Matheus Fernandes, Tonali, Alex Scott, Wharton, Tchouaméni, Ederson (failed medical)… and now we’re back to Baleba after missing out on all of them. As a Manchester United fan, this is exhausting. Every summer we identify the right players, spend weeks negotiating, hesitate over the fee, watch deals collapse, then circle back to our original targets while our rivals get stronger. We all know this squad needs at least one or two top-quality midfielders. We still need a long-term replacement for Luke Shaw, another centre-back and the World Cup has almost come and gone with barely any real progress. Meanwhile, other clubs are strengthening, building chemistry, and preparing for the season. We’re still chasing names and hoping something falls into place. I don’t want another season where Carrick is left fighting with an incomplete squad while rival fans spend months laughing at us. Manchester United should be setting the standard, not scrambling at the end of every transfer window. Back Carrick properly. Stop hesitating. Stop wasting time.
