@xue_unloving Mostly true, but except for some heisei 2, early reiwa shows, the toys still fit the universe really well, gavv and gotchard have toyish itens, but it fits within their cartoonier universes

idk i think the distinction that really sets me off and why i was fine with faiz, blade and kabuto, but stuff like build and gaim threw me off... the "toys" from the earlier stuff felt mostly grounded in their universes. even looked the part imo. they're very clearly toys nowaday

@Fossil4Man They gotta find a way to capture that early heisei feel im sorry. That to me was the best and most engaging era of shows by far. I can’t really watch the newer ones because of how insane the toy shilling is. I am a tourist compared to most however
