Charles slowed as he passed by the tents, taking notice of Abigail’s steady hands moving with the yarn.
He paused his steps, glancing down at her work for a moment, admiring it.
“Evenin’,” he greeted, voice low.
He nodded towards the yarn in her hands. “What’re you makin’?”

Heading down to the water, he caught the faint curl of smoke in the air— tracing back to the cigarette between Molly’s fingers.
Quietly, he eased on over to a nearby tree & leaned against it.
Clearing his throat to break the silence, he finally spoke. “..You doin’ alright?”

“Sharpenin’..” he mumbled, eyes still trained on the arrowhead.
Noticing the horse hand lean in, Charles turned the piece in his hand, shifting his body at an angle so he could get a better look. “Was plannin’ on hunting later.”
He glanced back up at him. “..You ever hunt any?”

“Mornin’,” he replied, voice low. His gaze dropping back down to his hands as he shifted slightly, making room on the log.
“Don’t gotta hover. Sit, if you want.”
