Esport Danmark backs the national Overwatch team ❕❗️ Organized by Blizzard Entertainment, the Overwatch World Cup brings together the most skilled players to represent their countries on the global stage. The ambition for the Danish national team is to be amongst the top 8 nations to qualify and compete at the finals during BlizzCon in Anaheim, USA from September 12-13, 2026. Jørgen HK Jepsen, Director of Esport Denmark, states, “Overwatch is a top-tier global esport, so it is crucial that Denmark is competitive at the highest level. Now that the Overwatch World Cup team is anchored in Esport Danmarks national strategy, we can build out a professional path-to-pro structure. Our ambition is clear: Denmark will not only participate, but we will strive for a top placement. At the same time, we will ensure the long-term and sustainable development of Overwatch as a national team program in Denmark.” Esport Danmark is proud to have our @OW_Denmark Competition Committee bid selected by Blizzard to represent Denmark and lead the team in 2026 - with @megan_teare as General Manager - @Lasse_Vestergaard as Social Lead - @Yaho_OW as Coach!
