I’m in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut to interview Tagak Curley, one of the founders of the Nunavut Territory. He was a leading voice for Inuit governance within Canada and was a key part of the negotiations that led to the creation of the Nunavut Territory. He also served as a territorial MLA and cabinet minister. I am looking forward to sharing his story with you for @OneCanadaProj!

Because of WWI and WWII, people often forget how big of a role Canada played in the Second Boer War — Canada’s first major foreign conflict. The Battle of Leliefontein and the Battle of Paardeberg were two exceptional Canadian and British victories that are now seldom remembered
